Monsters are Coming!

Howdy folks! Remember my cute Monster art? Well the client wants to take it to the next stage for his mobile game:
Here is an example of the screen image for this monster game. Starts off being cute (left) then turns monstrous (right). There will be a total of eight monsters. The game is to compete with other monsters and to terrify them first so roars and screams are being looked at right now.

Here below are the eight monsters:

Negotiation project 2011

Here it is, its still a working progress because its a mix of 2d rough animation and my animatic but thats what makes it goo, because you know whats the timing like and where the action is. I enjoy making this and would actually, given a longer deadline, make a full, clean animation. It was better to start off making the animatic first and then the background layouts, organisation is needed. I normally worked on whole scenes together, i should have started off with working on one scene at a time, i only did that afterwards. I prefer working on the software of toon boom and discovered a few tricks that i can use again for next year.

Insect ball animation

Something i am still doing on Animate Pro, working progress for maybe my third year project in the future. I like the bouncing part at the begining, reminds me when i started animating a ball in my first year.

3rd year work assistance

Here are some photos showing whats going on with the third year stop motion called "the magician"
showing progress of set building
here are two prop bottles i made. Unfortunately they are too big for the puppet, so i need to resize them. I still have a lot more props to do.

After being fired from the "Barista"project, I quickly found a new third year project to join and i am given to animate a scene, its not finished but here is a rough outlook.

summer experiment project

click on the title (link) Hand Drawn Caterpillar Animation Short

an animation short done for Silje Marie Kristiansen. (siljemarie@hotmail.com) who placed up a small art exhibition to the theme of "colors" down in Falmouth Town. Its on Kiligrew Street and looks nice from the inside. Unfortunately, there were a few setbacks. Firstly, I wished i could spend longer on the animation, adding background detail and more food for the caterpillar to eat and thus become its color. The deadline had been in late September but I was assured that i could place this frames in the small gallery. If i remember, she would use my animation as some title sequence for a website of the gallery. I hope something good turns out from it because i spent some of my summer doing this short frame by frame. I did not get any money for it but at least I have produced something for someone in or community.

On the whole it gave me some practice with the frame by frame technique and as i love drawing, i liked how i visulised it ^^
