Shen Shaomin

These are Shen Shaomin's sculptures featuring the bizarre and weird animal anatomy. Shen Shaomin adopts the role of being anthropologist, scientist, and author of his own fabricated mythologies. Constructed from real animal bones, his sculptures collectively create a bestiary of fictional creatures that are wondrous, frightening, and strange. Reminiscent of Borges's Book of Imaginary Beings, Shen's absurd assemblages exude an ancient wisdom, authenticating the magic of fable and folklore, while alluding to contemporary issues of genetic modification, consequence of environmental threat, and concepts of the alien and exotic.

I like this one with the three headed and four paired legged mammal. imagine with wither fur or skin and see if it was alive.

Inspiration and accuracy

Film Images of the upcoming 3D CGI Western Animted movie of RANGO

Clothing on the spider, a large old tattered sombrero with an old ragged poncho which migth resemble a blanket. The spider hair colour is presumly white because of old age as well as wrinkles on near his eyes.
This screenshot is a good one because it has a spider on the left playing the piano, using its front mandibules (frontal legs near mouth) or its front legs to tap on the keys.

Pre-Production, Character design

The main Character, as must of benn mentioned before, is a jumping mexican spider. Someone who STANDS OUT in the picture like in STANLEY SPENCER's work, most of his work, depict one larger figure standing out, here, its someone smaller, more outcasted because of mexican trait such as accurate history of 19th century america because the mexican nationality was not liked and niether did they like them ever since the American Mexican War. As the show is a documentary I intend to show accurate history timelines and some few events that follow from the MAerican Mexican war to the Civil War onwards to the Gold Rush

I am still drawing 19th century mexican clothing for the spider, old raggy peasant clothing with no heiarchy system.
